During Christmas, the McCallister family plans a trip to Paris but accidentally leaves 8-year-old Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) home alone after a chaotic airport rush. Thrilled at first, Kevin enjoys his freedom—eating pizza, jumping on beds, and causing mischief. However, his fun ends when he discovers burglars Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) targeting his house.
